Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TUBA1C RNA is linked to patient survival in 29 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TUBA1C data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher TUBA1C RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TUBA1C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as READ and COAD show a favorable association.
MESO, KICH, and LIHC are the cancer types where TUBA1C RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
