Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TUBA1C RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of TUBA1C’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where TUBA1C RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types TUBA1C is over-expressed in tumor.
KIRC, KIRP, and HNSC are the cancer types where TUBA1C tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
