Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TTR Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TTR data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher TTR Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TTR expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM, UCEC, and CHOL are the cancer types where TTR Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
