Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TSPO RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TSPO data layer compared with 1 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher TSPO RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TSPO expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and HNSC show a favorable association.

OV, LGG, and KIRC are the cancer types where TSPO RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
