Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TSPAN8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TSPAN8 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher TSPAN8 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TSPAN8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
THCA and UCEC are the cancer types where TSPAN8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
