Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TRMO Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TRMO data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher TRMO Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TRMO expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUSC, UCEC, and LUAD are the cancer types where TRMO Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
