Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TRIM53CP RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of TRIM53CP’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where TRIM53CP RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types TRIM53CP is over-expressed in tumor.
LUSC are the cancer types where TRIM53CP tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
