Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TRIM51CP RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of TRIM51CP’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where TRIM51CP RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types TRIM51CP is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA are the cancer types where TRIM51CP tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
