Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TRIM16L RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TRIM16L data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher TRIM16L RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TRIM16L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LGG and READ show a favorable association.
UVM, LGG, and READ are the cancer types where TRIM16L RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
