Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TRIM16L Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TRIM16L data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher TRIM16L Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TRIM16L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.

LIHC, CESC, and SKCM are the cancer types where TRIM16L Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
