Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TRBV5-5 RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TRBV5-5 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher TRBV5-5 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TRBV5-5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and SKCM show a favorable association.

HNSC, SKCM, and UVM are the cancer types where TRBV5-5 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
