Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TPTE RNA is linked to patient survival in 14 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TPTE data layer compared with 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher TPTE RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TPTE expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and SKCM show a favorable association.

MESO, KIRC, and KIRP are the cancer types where TPTE RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
