Across TCGA patient cohorts, TPO protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 2,071 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible TPO-associated genes across cancer lineages are RASAL1, SH3GL3, and LINC01250. Each is linked with TPO in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both TPO-to-partner and partner-to-TPO results are reported.
