Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TPMTP2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of TPMTP2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where TPMTP2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types TPMTP2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
UCEC, READ, and LUSC are the cancer types where TPMTP2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
