Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TOMM40L Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TOMM40L data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher TOMM40L Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TOMM40L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SCLC and UCEC are the cancer types where TOMM40L Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
