Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TOMM20L RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TOMM20L data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher TOMM20L RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TOMM20L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CESC and KIRC show a favorable association.
CESC, HNSC, and KIRC are the cancer types where TOMM20L RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
