Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TNC Mutation is linked to patient survival in 11 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TNC data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher TNC Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TNC expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and LUAD show a favorable association.
LUSC, UCEC, and OV are the cancer types where TNC Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
