Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMPRSS11B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMPRSS11B data layer compared with 17 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher TMPRSS11B Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMPRSS11B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, HNSC, and SARC are the cancer types where TMPRSS11B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
