Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM88B RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TMEM88B data layer compared with 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher TMEM88B RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM88B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and LUAD show a favorable association.
UCEC, COAD, and ESCA are the cancer types where TMEM88B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
