Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM63A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM63A data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher TMEM63A Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM63A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC and ACC are the cancer types where TMEM63A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
