Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM61 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM61 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher TMEM61 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM61 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
STAD, HNSC, and ESCA are the cancer types where TMEM61 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
