Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM45A RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TMEM45A data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher TMEM45A RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM45A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as DLBC and UVM show a favorable association.
STAD, BRCA, and KICH are the cancer types where TMEM45A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
