Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM37 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM37 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher TMEM37 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM37 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
LUSC, SKCM, and HNSC are the cancer types where TMEM37 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
