Across TCGA patient cohorts, TMEM26 RNA expression is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 16,245 significant associations in total. TGCT shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible TMEM26-associated genes across cancer lineages are TMEM26-AS1, NID2, and EDNRA. Each is linked with TMEM26 in more than 32 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both TMEM26-to-partner and partner-to-TMEM26 results are reported.
