Across TCGA patient cohorts, TMEM229A RNA expression is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 10,671 significant associations in total. TGCT shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible TMEM229A-associated genes across cancer lineages are RCAN2, DENND2A, and ANO5. Each is linked with TMEM229A in more than 16 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both TMEM229A-to-partner and partner-to-TMEM229A results are reported.
