Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM19 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM19 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher TMEM19 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM19 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LIHC, KIRP, and LUAD are the cancer types where TMEM19 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
