Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM19 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM19 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher TMEM19 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM19 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and CCRCC show a favorable association.

HNSC, CCRCC, and LSCC are the cancer types where TMEM19 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
