Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM183A RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TMEM183A data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher TMEM183A RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM183A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and STAD show a favorable association.
ACC, MESO, and KICH are the cancer types where TMEM183A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
