Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM183A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM183A data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher TMEM183A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM183A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LIHC, UCEC, and PRAD are the cancer types where TMEM183A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
