Across TCGA cell cohorts, TMEM171 mutation is significantly associated with the mutation status of many other genes, with 698 significant associations in total. OVARY shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible TMEM171-associated genes across cancer lineages are SCN8A, OR5AK2, and ENAM. Each is linked with TMEM171 in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both TMEM171-to-partner and partner-to-TMEM171 results are reported.
