Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM132A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM132A data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher TMEM132A Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM132A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and UCS show a favorable association.
HNSC, LIHC, and DLBC are the cancer types where TMEM132A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
