Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TM9SF4 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TM9SF4 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher TM9SF4 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TM9SF4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
STAD, COAD, and ESCA are the cancer types where TM9SF4 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
