Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TM4SF5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TM4SF5 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher TM4SF5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TM4SF5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, COAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where TM4SF5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
