Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TIMM17A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TIMM17A data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher TIMM17A Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TIMM17A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUAD, UCEC, and LGG are the cancer types where TIMM17A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
