Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TIMM17A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TIMM17A data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher TIMM17A mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TIMM17A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and HNSC show a favorable association.
CCRCC, UCEC, and LUAD are the cancer types where TIMM17A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
