Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TGIF2-RAB5IF RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 9 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of TGIF2-RAB5IF’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where TGIF2-RAB5IF RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types TGIF2-RAB5IF is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as PAAD and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, LUSC, and HNSC are the cancer types where TGIF2-RAB5IF tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
