Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TFEC Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TFEC data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher TFEC Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TFEC expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
LUSC, SKCM, and ESCA are the cancer types where TFEC Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
