Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TFAP2D Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TFAP2D data layer compared with 17 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher TFAP2D Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TFAP2D expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and COAD show a favorable association.
LIHC, UCEC, and DLBC are the cancer types where TFAP2D Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
