Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TEX12 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TEX12 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher TEX12 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TEX12 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and LAML show a favorable association.
MESO, SCLC, and ACC are the cancer types where TEX12 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
