Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TESC Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TESC data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher TESC Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TESC expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM are the cancer types where TESC Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
