Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TBX5 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TBX5 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher TBX5 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TBX5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and LUAD show a favorable association.

SKCM, BLCA, and ACC are the cancer types where TBX5 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
