Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TBX5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TBX5 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lymphoid neoplasm diffuse large b-cell lymphoma (DLBC), where higher TBX5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TBX5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and UCEC show a favorable association.
DLBC, CESC, and STAD are the cancer types where TBX5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
