Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TBC1D8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 9 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TBC1D8 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), where higher TBC1D8 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TBC1D8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
CHOL, UCEC, and OV are the cancer types where TBC1D8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
