Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TBC1D3I RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of TBC1D3I’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where TBC1D3I RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types TBC1D3I is over-expressed in tumor.
UCEC are the cancer types where TBC1D3I tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
