Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TBC1D3F RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of TBC1D3F’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where TBC1D3F RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types TBC1D3F is over-expressed in tumor.
KIRP, LUSC, and KIRC are the cancer types where TBC1D3F tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
