Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TBC1D2B RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TBC1D2B data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher TBC1D2B RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TBC1D2B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and BRCA show a favorable association.
LUSC, LGG, and KIRP are the cancer types where TBC1D2B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
