TBC1D24

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TBC1D24 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 15 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of TBC1D24’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where TBC1D24 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types TBC1D24 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, KIRP, and COAD are the cancer types where TBC1D24 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
