Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TAF2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TAF2 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher TAF2 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TAF2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and SCLC show a favorable association.
UVM, KIRC, and MESO are the cancer types where TAF2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
