Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TAF2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TAF2 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher TAF2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TAF2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BRCA, ESCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where TAF2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
