Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TAF2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TAF2 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher TAF2 mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TAF2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and UCEC show a favorable association.

LSCC, UCEC, and PDAC are the cancer types where TAF2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
